Dear Friends,

We have seen some of the worst bush fires hit in the history of Australia. On 21st December 2019, the fires were in full force and active around the Lithgow LGA. On this dark day, many lost their homes, businesses, livelihood and lifetime of memories. Many individuals and families have limited access to support during this difficult time. Many are not in any position to get them selves back of the ground any time soon. I am doing my part in this to help the community get back up and find its feet.

On 21st December 2019, we sadly lost our beloved premise, which was consumed entirely by the raging bushfires, leaving nothing behind. 

We estimate the cost of our losses to be in excess of $800,000. Not being covered under our current insurance policy, we are now faced with rebuilding our activity centre from ground up.

We hope to restore our premise which was used as a place of worship for our community, services of annadhanam (serving of food to the community, especially those less fortunate), spiritual classes, care for the elderly, and further, raise funds to provide shelter, food and education to poor children in India.

We seek to raise $500,000 to commence rebuilding the premise within the next 1 year.

We also welcome any assistance by way of building materials such as bricks and cement, or other reusable structures such as shed frames, fences, and furniture. If you are able to help in any other way, please let us know and we would be very grateful.
